Our client, importers/manufacturers in clothing across North America, are looking to add an experienced bookkeeper to its team in Montreal.


  • Accounts Payable: Post supplier invoices, manage approvals of supplier invoices, prepare payments, reconcile, post and pay Corporate Credit Cards
  • Accounts Receivable: Post cash receipts from customers, reconcile any deductions or rebates taken by customer, manage AR listing
  • Banking: Prepare wires, bill payments and on-line tax payments, reconcile bank accounts
  • Payroll: Prepare payroll (bi-weekly), prepare deductions at source remittances (twice/month), set up procedure for new employees and prepare ROE for terminated employees
    CSST filing, prepare T4’s with benefits at year-end
  • General Ledger: Post entries as required, understand multi-currency and F/X entries required, ensure sub-ledgers agree with GL, responsible for monthly trial balances for 2 operating companies
  • GST/QST remittances (quarterly)
  • Assist with year-end preparation & auditors


  • College graduate or Trade School certificate in Accounting
  • Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping or relevant experience
  • Experience with wholesale, importing or manufacturing is an asset
  • Strong computer skills required, especially with Excel
  • Strong organization skills
  • Great communication in English

Salary based on experience $50,000-$60,000
